The worst flooding in 42 years has devastated sections of the Philippines, killing at least 140 people. Tropical storm Ketsana dumped a record amount of rainfall on the Manila metropolitan area, submerging parts of the city and affecting more than 400,000 people. Among those affected were long time Pinnacle members Romeo and Lulu Virtusio, whose home was inundated by chest-high waters for over four hours. Virtually everything they owned was damaged or destroyed.
In response to the tragedy, Pinnacle Worldwide is asking members, colleagues and friends to donate to relief efforts in the Philippines. Pinnacle has set up a special account on PayPal, the secure Internet payment system used by millions, to collect contributions that will be turned over to appropriate relief agencies working on helping those affected.
